JLG Forklift Parts - After retiring in the late 1960's, John L. Grove started on a cross country RV expedition. After spending many years establishing his family built crane business with his brother, John had no idea that this journey would bring forth the rise of JLG Industries, Inc. The world leader of mobile aerial work platforms and precision material handling technologies was the end result of a road expedition.

During their trip, John reacquainted himself with past business connections along the way. In combination with these conversations and a noteworthy event; two workers were tragically electrocuted on scaffolding when the Groves were passing through the Hoover Dam. John discovered a considerable market for a product that could swiftly and securely lift individuals in the air to accomplish upkeep and other construction services.

After returning from their holiday, John set up a business with two of his friends and obtained a metal fabrication business in McConnellsburg, Pennsylvania. Opening with a small crew of twenty staff, they fashioned and sold their first JLG aerial work platform in 1970. The company incorporates some of the basic design elements of that original lift into existing models.

Since then, JLG Forklifts have come a great distance from when Mr. John L. Grove returned from his fatefull cross-country trip and since the first JLG aerial platform entered the market. As of today, the company has extended itself into many different global markets and continues to cultivate modern machinery to guarantee that customers are able to become safer and more efficient within their workplace.
