Cascade Clamps - Founded in Portland, Oregon in 1943, the Cascade Manufacturing Company started as a small machine store hiring only four individuals. Overall sales for that particular year amounted to about sixty thousand dollars. The first recorded sales revenues involved the assembly and machining of stainless steel valves, pipe fittings and other components. Within five years of operation, the company had stretched to forty workers and their yearly sales volume had increased to three hundred thirty thousand dollars. Today, Cascade is among the top worldwide producers within the material handling business.

Design and manufacturing of the company's initial hydraulic cylinder allowed this new business to aggressively engage in new business opportunities. Cascade at present continues to develop as the premier provider of forklift attachments and various associated products. In 1964, the company altered its name to the Cascade Corporation. Then in the year 1965, the company went public with an initial offering of 200,000 shares of common stock. Ever since then the business has expanded its manufacturing facilities throughout the continental US to the areas Warner Robins Georgia to go along with its already existing plants in Portland, Oregon and Springfield, Ohio.
